Welcome!
In this course we
will review the empirical and conceptual scholarship in
teacher education. You will have opportunities to evaluate
the various methodologies; and, study the issues surrounding
teacher characteristics, teacher quality, accountability and
assessment concerns. A goal will be to prepare culturally
competent educational leaders with the skills to use
empirical evidence to understand the policies and practices
in preservice teacher preparation; and, to help you develop
relevant research agendas that help improve the preparation
of teachers for diverse populations.
